A 28-year-old male was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being shot Saturday afternoon in Christiansburg. According to the Christiansburg Police Department, officers responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Wayside Drive at 3:18 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The victim, Curt Roberts, was airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being shot once by a rifle. His condition was listed as serious. Police are still investigating the incident, which they believe was accidential.
