Sentences Handed Down In Pulaski County Print E-mail

Several people will be spending some time in jail after sentences were handed down in Pulaski County Circuit Court from DUI to Contempt of Court.

Curtis Dwayne Manuel of Pulaski pled guilty to distribution of oxycodone and was sentenced to five years in prison, with four years suspended. He was also placed on two years of supervised probation and lost his driver’s license for six months. A second charge of distribution of oxycodone was not prosecuted.

Jason Paul Johnson of Pulaski was sentenced to two years in prison, with one year and nine months suspended, after pleading guilty to an amended charge of DUI-3rd or subsequent offense within 10 years. He was also fined $1000, placed two years of supervised probation, and had his driver’s license suspended for an indefinite period of time.

Leonard James Dowdy of Christiansburg was sentenced to nine days in jail for contempt of court. Dowdy had appeal the case to circuit court after he was charged for appearing intoxicated at a trial in juvenile and domestic relations court.

Johnny Warren McKinney of Wytheville was sentenced to five years in prison, with four years and five months suspended, for assault and battery on a police officer. He was also placed on four years of supervised probation.

Kimberly Marie Moore of Christiansburg was sentenced to two years in prison, with one year and five months suspended, for assault and battery on a police officer. She was also placed on two years of supervised probation.

Eric Lee Childress of Dublin was sentenced to five years in prison, with four years and one month suspended, for larceny. He was also placed on three years of supervised probation. A second charge of false pretenses was not prosecuted.

Linda Lineberry Huff of Pulaski was sentenced to 12 months in jail, all suspended, after pleading guilty to an amended charge of petty larceny. She was also placed on 12 months of supervised probation. She had originally been charged with embezzlement.

Clarence Milton Nalls, Jr., plead guilty to an amended charge of accessory to burglary and was sentenced to 12 months in jail, with 11 months and 20 days suspended. He was also placed on 12 months of unsupervised probation. He had originally been charged with breaking and entering.

Wayne Douglas Underwood of Pulaski was sentenced to 12 months in jail, with 11 months and 20 days suspended, after pleading guilty to an amended charge of petty larceny. He was also placed on 12 months of supervised probation. On a second charged of an amended petty larceny, he was given 12 months in jail, with 11 months and 10 days suspended. Both of his sentences will run consecutively. He was originally charged with two counts of grand larceny.

Michelle Lynn Pack Sharitz, a/k/a Michelle Lynn Pack, of Pulaski was sentenced to five years in prison, with four years, 11 months and 10 days suspended. She was also placed on three years of supervised probation. Two other bad check charges were not prosecuted.

Peter Garrett Stearns of Lexington was sentenced to four years in prison, with three years and six months suspended, for larceny. He was placed on three years of supervised probation and must make restitution in the amount of $298.66.
