BREAKING NEWS - JUDGE SIDES WITH COMMONWEALTH Print E-mail
Election Information

A federal judge in Richmond has sided with Commonwealth attorneys in a lawsuit with the NAACP over election preparations. The judge has refused to grant an injunction sought by the NAACP.

In making the ruling, the judge ordered that the Commonwealth publicize the following:

1. Curbside voting is available for handicapped voters
2. If you are in line at 7:00 p.m. when the polls close, you will be allowed to vote, no matter how long it takes.

In other breaking election news, McCain's campaign has sued Virginia's electoral board just hours before the election, seeking to force the state to count late-arriving overseas military ballots.
