Christiansburg Man Found Guilty on Sodomy Charge Involving a Juvenile Print E-mail
by David Grimes
A Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge found James Robert Altizer of Christiansburg guilty of sodomy involving a 10-year-old male juvenile, while dismissing two other charges.

Altizer was found guilty of the charge by circuit court Judge Roy Grubbs after he pled not guilty to the charges. Altizer, who was also charged with aggravated sexual battery and indecent liberties with a minor, had those two charges dismissed by the judge.

The alleged offense took place between December 28, 2007 and Jan. 1, 2008.

Judge Grubbs ordered that a pre-sentence report be conducted. Altizer is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 23, 2009.
