Montgomery County Grand Jury Holds Special Session Print E-mail

The Montgomery County Grand Jury held a special session Wednesday afternoon and indicted 19 individuals on 30 different charges ranging from malicious wounding to theft-related.

Randall Paul Hopkins of Hiwasse was indicted for larceny-3rd or subsequent offense. The alleged incident occurred on Feb. 13, 2008.

Grant John Vanderkolk of Blacksburg was indicted for credit card theft and credit card forgery. The alleged offenses took place on March 29, 2008.

Matthew Edward Perdue of Narrows was indicted for DUI-3rd or subsequent offense in less than five years. The alleged offence occurred on July 4, 2008.

Steven David Peltzer of Blacksburg was indicted on two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of grand larceny and one count of receiving stolen goods. The alleged offenses occurred on Jan. 1, 2008 and Feb. 27, 2008.

Francis Bell White of Blacksburg was indicted for possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The alleged incident took place on March 4, 2008.

Robert E. Hales, III., of Pembroke was indicted for two counts of grand larceny. The alleged offenses took place on Oct. 20, 2007.

Lawrence Edward Thigpen, Jr., of Blacksburg was indicted for possession of a schedule I/II controlled substance. The alleged offense occurred on May 17, 2008.

Pedro Pablo Herrero of Blacksburg was indicted for a bad check. The alleged offense occurred on April 28, 2008.

Christopher Bailey of Ripplemead was indicted for receiving stolen goods. The alleged offense occurred on June 5, 2008.

James Walton Hicks of Pembroke was indicted for two counts of grand larceny. The alleged offenses occurred on May 31, 2008.

Scottie Tobias of Charlotte, NC., was indicted on two counts of uttering and two counts of obtaining money by false pretences. The alleged incident occurred on July 18, 2008.

Jonathan Tyron Samuels of Christiansburg was indicted for malicious wounding. The alleged offense occurred on July 4, 2008.

Maryanne Rose Couick of Elliston was indicted for failing to return property. The alleged incident happened on March 16, 2008.

Michael W. Tilrico of Blacksburg was indicted for attempted malicious wounding. The alleged incident occurred on a April 1, 2008.

Michael Jason Willard of Blacksburg was indicted for destruction of property. The alleged offense occurred on March 12, 2008.

Joyce Ann Stoneburner of Floyd was indicted for embezzlement and for credit card theft. The alleged incident took place on July 1, 2007.

Ashley Nicole Mitchell of Blacksburg was indicted for robbery. The alleged offense occurred on April 17, 2008.

Adam Patrick Mankin of Blacksburg was indicted for credit card theft. The alleged incident took place on March 29, 2008.

Klevin Lewis Holmes of Blacksburg was indicted for malicious wounding. The alleged incident occurred on May 4, 2008.
