The Giles County Grand Jury indicted 16 people on 34 charges ranging from indecent acts with children to drug-related charges.
John Stanford Maddy of Peterstown, WVA., was indicted on four counts of indecent act with a child. The alleged offenses occurred on Feb. 25, 2008, June 6, 2008, June 23, 2008 and July 31, 2008. Sherman Chad Condrey, no address listed, was indicted for breaking and entering and for grand larceny. The alleged incidents occurred on Aug. 27, 2008. Many Williams of Narrows was indicted for distribution. The alleged offense was on March 19, 2008. Vanessa Elan Saunders, no address listed, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance and for manufacturing a controlled substance. The alleged offense took place on May 16, 2008. Linda Ann Workman of Pembroke was indicted for grand larceny. The alleged offense happened on May 12, 2008. Delta Dawn Lucas of Pearisburg was indicted for forging a public record. The alleged offense occurred on May 22, 2008. Michael Wayne Buantello of Rich Creek was indicted for possession of a controlled substance. The alleged offense occurred on June 11, 2008. Paul David Anderson of Pearisburg was indicted for entering a building to commit assault and battery and for grand larceny. Both offenses occurred on July 7, 2008. Timothy Lee Norton of Narrows was indicted on five counts of obtaining prescriptions by fraud. The alleged incidents occurred on July 12, 2008. Melinda Jean Wilson of Narrows was indicted on five counts of obtaining prescriptions by fraud. The alleged offense took place on July 12, 2008. Garland Joseph Tabor, Jr., of Radford was indicted for felony assault. The alleged offense occurred on July 27, 2008. Steve Ray Hickle of Narrows was indicted for manufacturing a controlled substance. The alleged incident took place on July 31, 2008. Neil Franklin Thompson of Narrows was indicted for grand larceny and for entering a building to commit assault and battery. The alleged incidents happened on Jan. 15, 2008. Joshua Kane Tolbert of Pearisburg was indicted for grand larceny. The alleged offense took place on Aug. 12, 2008. Chad Sherman Condrey of Rich Creek was indicted for grand larceny. The alleged offense occurred on Aug. 28, 2008. Gary Lee Byrd, II., of Narrows was indicted on one count of firearms larceny, one count possession of firearm by a felon, one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny. The alleged offenses took place on July 26, 2008 and Aug. 15, 2008.
