Two Non-Profit Groups Benefit from Concert Print E-mail
EverythingNRV
The Asbury United Methodist (UM) and Christiansburg Presbyterian Churches join forces to hold a Benefit Concert on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at the Asbury UM Church on 500 Stuart Street in Christiansburg.  Since 2005 the two churches have teamed up each year to provide  an afternoon of sacred choral music that transcends denominations to embrace all people as one community.  While no admission fee has been charged for these programs, this year the audience will be given an opportunity—through a free-will offering—-to express their support and appreciation for the work of two non-profit organizations:  Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley and the NAACP (Montgomery County-Radford City-Floyd County Branch).

The Joint Concert starts at 4 p.m. and will be followed by fellowship and refreshments immediately after the program .  For more information, contact Music Directors Betty Turner (382-2802), or Ben Dixon (382-0743).
