Auburn High School (AHS) will honor Henry Sink and his family, of Sinkland Farms, by officially naming the AHS football stadium the Henry Sink Memorial Stadium. On Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m., the Sink family will be honored with a ceremony that will officially name the stadium.
Henry Sink was a prominent member of the community, being very pro-active in community matters and humanitarian projects. Two of his children have graduated from Auburn High School and one still attends. Ms. Sink has continued much of Mr. Sink and his family's efforts, by going forth with community-service projects, awarding scholarships and completing many other selfless efforts. The latest event at Sinkland Farms was the Montgomery 4-H Fair, last weekend, preceded by an AHS Backyard Brawl Barbeque on the previous weekend. Henry Sink, often fondly referred to as the 'AHS water-boy' of AHS football, dedicated Friday nights to serving players with water and any other needs. He was a very familiar icon of the area; his positive role-modeling was inspirational, and he will continue to be dearly missed.

I am very pleased that the 'water-boy' is being honored. However humble, Henry Sink was a person that cared greatly for us, contributing much to all. The Sink family has been greatly respected for a long time, due to their sharing of hard-earned successes that benefit many. There is no better example of the 'perfect' American family.

I'm proud that the community will recognize Henry Sink and his family, by honoring them with the AHS stadium becoming the Henry Sink Memorial Stadium. Folks have appreciated the Sinks of Sinkland Farms for a long time, due to their many contributions as great citizens, and community activists. The Sinks are, and have been, idealistic examples of Americana. They have worked hard, accomplished much, and continue to share.
