Bucyrus and United Steelworkers of America Reach Three-Year Agreement |

Bucyrus America, Inc., a subsidiary of Bucyrus International, Inc., and its 104 employee members of United Steel Workers of America, Local #8-00002-02 located in Pulaski, Virginia, have reached agreement on a new three-year contract.
The new contract, goes into effect August 24, 2008 and is valid until August 22, 2011. The Pulaski facility manufactures heavy equipment for the Room & Pillar mining industry and employs approximately 250 total employees. Bucyrus is a world leader in the design and manufacture of high productivity mining equipment for the surface and underground mining industries. Bucyrus’ surface mining equipment is used for mining coal, copper, iron ore, oil sands and other minerals. Bucyrus’ underground mining equipment is used primarily for mining coal and also used in mining minerals such as Potash and Trona. In addition to machine manufacturing, Bucyrus manufactures high quality OE parts and provides world-class support services for their machines. Bucyrus’ corporate headquarters is located in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
