A Montgomery County man drowned this afternoon in the New River near the trestle at the Pulaski County/Radford City line.
According to Pulaski County Sheriff Jim Davis, the man was fishing in the vicinity of the train trestle, which crosses the river off Hazel Hollow Road, on the Pulaski County side near the New River community.
