A Montgomery County deputy has been recognized following the arrest of Brandon Matthew Anderson, 28, of Staunton, VA for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana after his K-9 patrol dog Kail alerted on his automobile during a traffic stop on I-81.
Anderson was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger when he was stopped by Sgt. Tim Shepherd for speeding in the Highway Safety Corridor of I-81 at approximately 8:24 p.m. Montgomery County Corporal Jason Milburn and his K-9 partner Kail alerted on the vehicle during the stop. After a brief search, 2.3 lbs of marijuana was located in the vehicle. Anderson was subsequently arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute, a class 5 Felony.
