Montgomery County Public Schools Summer Enrichment Program Continues To Grow |

More than 300 students have registered for courses through MCPS Summer Enrichment Program this year. The summer enrichment program provides students with academically related enrichment during the summer months.
Earlier in the year, teachers throughout the county submitted class proposals to the gifted education department. Selected classes were included in a catalog, which was sent home to all students during the month of April. The enrichment sessions incorporate ideas that are academically related and provide fun and excitement for students and teachers. Course content ranges from chess, economics, writing, paper airplanes, arts and crafts, drama, web design, animation, and physical education to name a few. Registration occurred during the month of May and 29 sessions were offered. A minimal fee was charged to cover the cost of instructors and materials.
