The whereabouts of a missing Blacksburg woman is still unknown at this time, even though she was found Wednesday at a San Francisco bus station with her fugitive husband.

According to various media reports, Susan “Gabby” Elmore-Burns, 20, of Blacksburg was located with her husband, Keith Lee Burns, by the U.S. Marshal’s Service trying to board a bus at a bus station in San Francisco Wednesday morning.

Burns, 40, who is listed by the Virginia State Police as a violent sex offender was taken into custody and is currently being held in a San Francisco jail on warrants charging him with failure to register as violent sexual offender, a probation violation and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He is currently waiting extradition back to Virginia.

Elmore, who has been missing now for four months, was reported to be in good condition.

In an email to EverythingNRV.com Thursday evening, Susan’s mother, Joan Elmore, stated, “ Our daughter was found with Keith Lee Burns on July 2 in California.  Keith was arrested and Susan was put on a bus heading north.  She did not reach her final destinations and we still do not know where she is.”
