Blacksburg Man Injured After Car Crashes Into House |

A Blacksburg man was injured Tuesday evening after his vehicle crashed into a house on Prices Fork Road.
According to the Blacksburg Police Department, Joseph Monoski, Jr., 61, was operating his vehicle in the 600 block of Prices Fork Road near the intersection of McBryde Drive at approximately 6:50 p.m. when he ran off the right shoulder of the road, struck a street sign, raising a manhole cover. His vehicle then went across a front yard and crash into an unoccupied residence. Police say the vehicle was totaled and estimated damages to the house was placed at $8,000. Monoski was taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police are trying to determine if Monoski may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the accident. The accident is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
