Police Release Identity Of Blacksburg Teenager Killed In Crash

The Blacksburg Police Department has released the identity of the 16-year-old female who was killed in a single-vehicle accident early Saturday morning.

According to Lt. Joe Davis of the Blacksburg Police Department, Ayesha Kathleen Wintersdorff, 16, of Blacksburg died at the scene of the 4:50 a.m. accident, which took place on Route 460 near the intersection of North Main Street.

According to Lt. Davis, the accident is still under investigation by the Blacksburg Police Department.

Lt. Davis added, "the Blacksburg Police Department continue to investigate the causative factors includeing whether or not alcohol or drugs may be a factor in the crash.

According to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, the vehicle did overturn.
