Blacksburg Town Council will hold a work session, along with a dinner, and its regular monthly meeting this evening at the Blacksburg Municipal Building. The work session will start at 4 p.m. and the regular monthly meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Items to be discussed at the 4 p.m. work session include: Construction Agreement and Construction Inspection Agreement for various Intersections Improvement Project; Harding Avenue update; and a closed meeting for discussion and consideration of prospective candidates for future appointments to various boards, commissions and town committees.

Town Council will also hold a Council Dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. at Awful Arthur’s Seafood Restaurant at 213 Draper Road in Blacksburg.

During its regular monthly meeting, which starts in Town Council Chambers at 7:30 p.m., the following items will be discussed A Resolution Establishing The Town Pay Plan For Fiscal Year 2008/2009; two parade permits, one on July 4 and the other on July 6; Construction Agreement with Donald L. Branscome, Inc. for the Various Intersections Improvement Project; and Agreement with McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc. for Construction Management Services for the Various Intersections Improvement Project.

Also appointments will be made to the various town boards and commissions.
