Radford Police To Beef Up Traffic Enforcement PDF Print E-mail
David Grimes

Thanks to a special grant, the Radford Police Department will be concentrating more heavily on traffic enforcement, mainly speeding, between now and June 28.

The department recently received a $16,398 grant from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. More than $3,000 will be spent for new radar guns, while the remaining funds will be used to overtime to the officers for the increased enforcement. This particular program will continue through September.

Police will be concentrating their special enforcement along the Tyler Avenue corridor and along Second Street in the vicinity of Radford High School., as well as other areas of the city.
