Amber Alert Suspect Caught In Giles County |

The suspect of an Amber Alert, which was issued early Monday afternoon by the Virginia State Police, was apprehended in Giles County earlier this evening.
South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division had issued the Amber Alert after 4-year-old Colin Nathaniel Custer was kidnapped around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning after being taken from his Lexington County, South Carolina home. Police believed the boy was taken by his father, Robert William Custer III. The Virginia State Police issued the Amber Alert in Virginia after it was believed that Custer was heading toward Locust Grove, Va., which is near Fredericksburg. The Giles County Sheriff’s Office has said the boy was safe and unharmed. The father is now in custody. Its been reported that the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Marshal’s Office and the Virginia State Police were involved in the apprehension.
