Anderson To Remain As Montgomery Co. School Superintendent Print E-mail
David Grimes

Montgomery County School Superintendent Tiffany Anderson will be staying put after being eliminated from consideration of a similar post with the Cincinnati Public School System.

“It was a privilege to have been selected as a top finalist from the 29 applicants Cincinnati received for their superintendent position,” Anderson said in an email to EverythingNRV. “

Anderson, who interviewed on Wednesday for the Cincinnati post, was eliminated following a four-hour meeting after her interview.

“Their board will be moving forward with an individual with large urban school superintendent experience, and I fully understand that,” said Anderson. “It was an honor to have been selected as one of the top four finalists for an urban district with more than 30,000 students.

Anderson applied for the Cincinnati post on June 1 and within two days, became a finalist out of 29 individuals.

Although she currently has no other active applications on file with any other school systems, Anderson did say, “I appreciate the support from our board, principals, staff and families and I appreciate their understanding as I consider areas my husband was exploring to enable us to be closer to family, although we had not made a final decision to leave the area our family enjoys.”

Anderson went on to say, “I am pleased that I will be remaining here in Montgomery County serving the community we both enjoy very much and I look forward to the great things ahead for our students, staff and families in our school district.”
