Annual Juneteenth Celebration To Be Held Saturday PDF Print E-mail

The Montgomery County-Radford City-Floyd County Branch of the NAACP  and Youth Council,  co-sponsored by the New River Valley Progressive Men's Club, present the ANNUAL JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION this Saturday, June 14 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., at the Rosa Peters Park on Depot Street in Christiansburg. 

Bring your lawn chairs, umbrellas, or tents.  The pool and park will be open at 11 a.m. The fish fry, provided by Progressive Men's Club, starts at noon. Other food, noon to 6 p.m. will be available as a Youth Council fund-raiser. From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: NAACP Youth Presentation, community choirs, singers, dancers, games, informational booths, and voter regiustration information.
 
All persons/organizations that would like to set up an information booth are welcome.   Bring your own tables and tents.  Please call the NAACP office to register your booth.  All persons wishing to perform music, poems, skits, etc., please register upon arrival or call ahead at (540) 382-6751.
