The final public forum for Radford’s Comprehensive Plan 2030, which will guide future land development and public decisions over the next 10-20 years will take place Thursday, June 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Radford Recreation Center on George Street.

The Planning Team has been actively working on updating the Plan over the last year, and now it is time for you to review the Draft Comp Plan, which is available on the City’s Website: http://www.radford.va.us/

Your input on many community issues is needed to ensure that the Plan addresses our community’s needs for the future. We would also like for you to comment on the Implementation Strategies by voting for the top items that you would like to see implemented in Radford.

Topics included in the Comprehensive Plan include: People and Housing; Parks and Recreation; Economic Development; Historic Resources; Natural Features and Resources; Transportation; Public Services, Facilities and Utilities; Future Land Use (areas for residences, businesses, industry, and agriculture) and much more. Each of these topic areas include Planning and Development Policies and Goals with Implementation Strategies to make them reality.

Please help us plan for the community’s future. Come review our work to date and help us prioritize the Implementation Strategies!
