An instructional aide at Falling Branch Elementary School in Christiansburg was arrested Tuesday after it was alleged that he abused a six-year-old child at the school.

Jesse Lamont Crutchfield, 34, of Blacksburg has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a Class 1 misdemeanor.

According to reports, its alleged that Crutchfield grabbed the student, shaking him, and leaving hand-shaped bruises on the boy’s arm.

When contacted Wednesday afternoon, Anita Johnston, the public information officer for Montgomery County Public Schools could not comment since it involved personnel issues.
