The expo, which is free to the public, will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature 75 booths from Pulaski County area businesses and 93 participants. There will also be plenty of door prizes, a live radio remote, cars, trucks, and lots more.

“The is the biggest expo we have ever had, “said Chamber executive director Peggy White in an interview Tuesday afternoon. “We had to turn people away.”

Appalachian Power, Citizens, Cougar Express, Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, NRV Cumulus Broadcasting, Draper Valley Golf Club, Farm Bureau Insurance, Pulaski Community Hospital, Pulaski County Public Schools and The Inn At Virginia Tech & Skelton Conference Center are just a small sample of the businesses participating.

In addition to the local businesses booths, there will be three specialty booths, which include the Virginia State Tourism Corp., the ABC Initiative and Pulaski Community Partner Coalition (PCPC).

“I’m so excited, I can’t see straight,” White said about this year’s event.

In addition to Friday’s expo, there will be a private VIP reception Thursday night, in which an estimated 600 people, including local officials, business owners, political officials and industry leaders are expected to attend.

According to White, some of the political officials expected to attend Thursday night include Delegate Dave Nutter, Senator Phil Puckett, Delegate Anne B. Crockett-Stark and others.
