Could Montgomery County School Superintendent Tiffany Anderson be leaving for a similar post? Tuesday night, she was named one of the five candidates for the Memphis City Schools position.

Anderson was on the list of five finalists vying for the position of Superintendent of Memphis City Schools, in Memphis, Tn., which was presented at their school board meeting Tuesday night.

The firm hired to conduct the nationwide search for a new superintendent presented its list to the Memphis City School Board. The firm presented to the board details on what each candidate could offer the system, and what led them to select those particular people.

In addition to Anderson, the other four finalists is Yvonne Brandon, Deputy Superintendent of Richmond (Virginia) City Schools; Kriner Cash, an administrator for Miami-Dade County (Florida) Public Schools;Nicholas Gledich, COO of Orange County Schools in Orlando, FL; and James Williams, Superintendent of Buffalo (New York) Public Schools.

The Memphis City School Board hopes to have a new superintendent in place this summer.
