A Radford University professor, who was involved in a bicycle-car accident last Wednesday at the entrance to Bisset Park in Radford, has died from injuries he received in the accident.

 

Forrest Benedict Green, 67, was a Professor of Management at Radford University. A Celebration of Life Service for Green is scheduled for this Sunday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Ken Bondurant Auditorium, Preston Hall.

 

Funeral arrangements are be handled by Mullins Funeral Home, but no further details are available at this time.

 

The accident took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. last Wednesday (April 23) at the intersection of East Main Street and New River Drive, near the Bisset Park entrance. Radford police identified the driver of the vehicle as Ryan Brinkley Sherman, 20, also of Radford. No other details about the accident were released.

 

Green was transported to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and then flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Lifeguard 11, following last Wednesday’s accident.
