Radford Man Injured Following Bicycle-Car Accident

A 67-year-old Radford man was injured Wednesday evening after a vehicle struck the bicycle he was riding near the entrance to Bisset Park.

Forest Benedict Green was transported to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center and then flown to Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Lifeguard 11. Green was listed in stable condition Thursday morning, according to the Radford Department of Police.

The accident took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and New River Drive, near the Bisset Park entrance.

Radford police identified the driver of the vehicle as Ryan Brinkley Sherman, 20, also of Radford.

No other details about the accident were released as the Radford Department of Police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
