Branscome Apprehended in Texas

Virginia State Police have confirmed that shooting suspect Steven Dale Branscome has been apprehended in Texas. News reports say that Branscome was apprehended shortly after midnight. No further information is being released at this time. A news conference is expected to be held at 1:30 this afternoon where more details will be released. Everything NRV will be covering the conference and will have detailes with video and photos later today.

Branscome had been on the run from authorities for more than a week, after allegedly shooting a Virginia State Trooper who was attempting to serve a warrant. Everything New River Valley News and WDBJ7 will have more details as they become availble.
