Tidbits...........An Update............My Opinion PDF Print E-mail
Written by Ron Walton
Looks like Obama is starting to feel the heat. As an update to my opinion piece from yesterday I'd like to add something that the Associated Press is reporting today. At a town hall meeting yesterday, Obama was asked if he would consider Al Gore for a post in his administration.

"I would," Obama said. "Not only will I, but I will make a commitment that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out how we solve this problem. He's somebody I talk to on a regular basis. I'm already consulting with him in terms of these issues but climate change is real."

The simple fact is that an Al Gore ticket beats Obama and Clinton and both know it.  Clearly, Obama is attempting to head Gore off of a Presidential run by tossing out a carrot and hopefully Al Gore will continue to stand his distance from both candidates now that they have soiled and tarnished images.

There is a growing number of Democrats starting to look at Gore as an option and how the party might recruit him. One option might be a Gore / Obama ticket, sending HIllary off to run for NY Governor. A Gore / Hillary ticket would not work. The population would see Gore as a mentor to Obama and that ticket beats John McCain by a landslide. Obama and Clinton are now tainted and the party knows they can not beat McCain. Gore is clean, he's likable and he is showing passion for something, which he lacked in his run for President.

Is this going to happen? Probably not. But one can only hope.

Just My Opinion.

hate to even mention it

Why can't everyone just be honest about the Obama deal and come out with the truth. If Hillary's minister were saying the same thing against African-Americans, Obama and his supporters would have a national protest against her. I think calling someone a racist is probably one of the worst labels you can put on a person, but the fact remains that if Wright only said the things he said a small percentage of his sermons, then he is still a racist and Obama should have known better.

may be on to something

I've followed Walton's crap and lunacy since the radio days, but he may finally be on to something here. Let's not forget that Gore really did beat Bush. I'm just not excited about our choices.

Sorry ron, misread part of your story....so here's a retraction.

You're right in that a Obama/Clinton ticket has absolutely no chance. Either a obama/gore or gore/obama ticket will do better and my thoughts are that either would wipe away McCain.

I do stand by what I said earlier though that any sensible, intelligent american would vote for satan first before another republican.

Bull.

After 8 years of republican bush-mongering most sensible, intelligent americans would vote for the devil himself rather than another republican.

At least you're right about one thing.....Hillary is a has-been.
