Montgomery County BOS Adds Another Budget Work Session PDF Print E-mail

In an uneventful meeting, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisor’s approved several easements and added another budget work session during its monthly meeting Monday night.

 

Two Public Hearings, one involving rezoning 227.65 acres from Agriculture (A-1) to Rural Residential (RR) by Reese Family Limited Partnership to build 67 single-family detached units on Bradshaw Road; and a Public Hearing on rezoning 18.1325 acres from A-1 to RR by Rhondy L. Martin and Margene Martin to build 12 single-family detached lots at 1806 Keisters Branch Road were both postponed to the April 28 meeting.

 

The BOS approved Right-of-Way Easements for Appalachian Power Company to install underground utility lines at the New Blacksburg High School Stadium on Prices Fork Road; Eastern Montgomery High School for new baseball field; Auburn Elementary School for service to a mobile unit; Motor Mile Park to add lighting to new ball field under construction.

 

The BOS also set April 7 as another Budget Work Session date. The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m.

 

Also, during Public Address, no citizens spoke.

 

The Board also approved a Proclamation – “Take Back The Night” Rally and March, which will be held March 27 at the Virginia Tech Drillfield starting at 7 p.m.

 

There will be a Public Hearing on the Proposed FY 08-09 Budget and Proposed Real Estate Tax Rate this Thursday, March 27, starting at 7:15 p.m.

 

The next regular meeting of the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors will be held on April 14 starting at 7:15 p.m.
