An 18-year-old man from Pulaski, along with two juveniles, has been charged after breaking into 29 cars late Saturday night and early Sunday morning in Christiansburg.

 

Thomas Clyde Turpin, 18, of Pulaski has been charged with three felonies thus far. Charges are also pending against the two juveniles.

 

According to the Christiansburg Police Department, the trio broke into 29 cars on East Main Street, Forest Street, Craig Street, Republic Road, High Street, Sunnyside Drive, Park Street, Depot Street,  Phlegar Street, Harless Street and North Drive.

 

Police say that more than $8,000 in damages and property loss occurred. Most of the stolen property has been recovered.
