The Montgomery County Relay For Life took the Nationwide Top 10 Honors for the 2007 Relay For Life Event in the population range of 75,000 to 99,999.

Montgomery County raised $4.80 per capita with the top team, Holy Spirit Catholic Church raising more than $15,000 last year.

This year’s event, which will be held at the Christiansburg High School, will be on May 16, starting at 6 p.m.

The 2008 Survivor Dinner will be held on April 13 at 3 p.m. at Christiansburg High School.

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.
