Officer Gary Fields, a five-year veteran of the Christiansburg Police Department, has been nominated as a America's Most Wanted All-Star and now you can go online and cast your vote for him to become one of the eight weekly All Star finalists and possibly win the $10,000 grand prize and a trip to the NASCAR All Star race.
According to America's Most Wanted, Officer Gary Fields, of the Christiansburg, VA Police Department was one of the first to respond to the massacre that occurred April 16, 2007 on Virginia Tech's campus. The tragic shootings claimed 32 lives. Officer Fields' arrived on campus to a horrible scene: dozens of students dead and injured. But one girl caught his eye, he noticed her eyes blinking. She'd been shot three times and was playing dead to protect herself. Officer Fields realized this, and immediately helped the seriously injured student. He's credited with saving her life. Officer Fields received a commendation for his bravery that day, and was named 2007's Officer of the Year. Officer Fields continues to serve his community fighting crime, despite recently being diagnosed with cancer.
AMW, together with Sprint, honors All-Star first responders – law enforcement officers, fire fighters, EMTs and others – who go above and beyond to keep our communities safe.
Week 1 Voting has begun and a total of 30 first responders have been nominated thus far.

Congratulations to Gary Fields...I am very sorry to hear about the cancer. Dr. Reginald Cherry talks about red grapes (with seeds) and the property they have that "fights" cancer. There is also a Dr. Jordon Rubin who wrote a book called the Maker's Diet. He was healed from Chrons Disease and his grandmother from cancer by the Maker's Diet. Please someone get this info to Officer Fields. I am going on the Maker's Diet for Diabetes and Fibermyalgia.
