Subway and Pizza Inn, both in Floyd, along with Chick-fil-a in Christiansburg, are the latest to jump on board, as more and more restaurants are starting to offer free WiFi Internet service while you eat.

Each restaurant has entered into an agreement with Citizens Internet, to provide a WiFi hotspot in their respective restaurants. Citizens is a regional communications and entertainment provider headquartered in Floyd, Virginia.

“We are very excited about our association with Subway and Pizza Inn,” stated Robert Weeks, Marketing Manager for Citizens. “Combining our Internet service with the traffic volume that Pizza Inn and Subway serves, not only gives consumers an avenue to experience our high-speed Internet service, it provides them a way to make their day more productive while enjoying a pleasurable dining experience.” 

In addition to the two new eateries in Floyd, Chick-fil-a in Christiansburg is also now offering free WiFi to its customers.

“We are very excited about our association with Chick-fil-A,” stated Dennis Reece, Business Development Manager for Citizens. “Combining our Mobile Broadband Internet service with the traffic volume that Chick-fil-A serves, not only gives consumers in the New River Valley an avenue to experience our Mobile Broadband, it provides them a way to make their day more productive while enjoying a pleasurable dining experience.”  

According to Weeks, “Chick-fil-A is the first WiFi hot spot in Christiansburg using Citizens Mobile Broadband. Interested consumers can visit OfficeMax and Tech Bookstore as well as www.citizens.coop to sign up for this evolutionary new service”
