The following offices in Blacksburg, Montgomery County, and Radford will be closed on the following dates in observance of Thanksgiving.
Town of Blacksburg Holiday Closings
The Town of Blacksburg Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22 – Friday, November 23.
There will be no trash service for the NE Quadrant on Thursday, November 22. Make up service for the NE Quadrant will be Saturday, November 24.
Blacksburg Transit will run on Break Service from Saturday, November 17 – Saturday, November 24, with no service on Thursday, November 22.
The Blacksburg Community Center will be closed, Thursday, November 22 – Friday, November 23.
Kipps Gym will be closed Thursday, November 22 – Saturday, November 24.
The Aquatic Center will be open Wednesday, November 21 from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, November 20 from 9 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., Saturday, November 21 for open swim from 12 p.m. – 6:50 p.m. and Sunday, November 25, open during regular hours. The Aquatic Center will be closed on Thursday, November 22.

Montgomery County All Montgomery County administrative offices will close at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 21st and will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday November 23rd. General District Court Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority – Everything will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd. The Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, November 23rd. The Landfill and Recycling will reopen on Friday, November 23rd with hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All libraries will close on Wednesday, November 21st at 1:00 p.m. and will be closed Thursday,
November 22nd and Friday November 23rd. All libraries will reopen on Saturday, November 24th, with hours from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Consolidated Collection Sites will be closed on Thursday, November 22nd and will reopen on Friday, November 23rd with hours from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Radford Solid Waste Collection Schedule The City of Radford’s Public Works Department will observe the Thanksgiving Holiday (Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23). Residents and commercial customers whose normal collection schedule is Thursday Nov. 22 will be collected on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 and Friday, Nov. 23 will be collected on Monday, November 26, 2007. The City of Radford’s Recycle - Solid Waste Drop Center will be closed Thursday and Friday (Nov. 22 and 23) and will reopen on Saturday November 24, 2007 from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Residents need to have their garbage available for collection at 7:30 AM on Wednesday, November 21, and Monday, November 26, 2007.
