Candidate Endorsements Coming Today And Monday Print E-mail
EverythingNRV

Our research is done and our thoughts complete.  EVERYTHINGNRV.com will be giving our political endorsements later today and the article will publish through Monday. We will also be giving the public a chance to chime in on their thoughts thru our “Your Turn” option below the story.

However, we want do things a little different with the opinions. We will only allow comments that give the voters a reason to vote for the candidate they are supporting and not opinions that discuss why a voter shouldn’t vote for someone. Negative, suggestive or smearing will not be allowed. Tell us only good things about the person you are supporting and why they have earned your vote. Negative comments won’t get published. You may email your comments to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Our endorsements will center on the Montgomery County offices primarily, but we will discuss some of the tighter races in other counties and the state.

We also want to give the candidates one last opportunity to tell the voters why they should vote for them – not a column of why to not vote for their opponent. The column must be held to 100 words or less and must be submitted by 10 p.m., Sunday, November 4th. Candidates can send your comments to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . (Rememeber, the deadline is 10 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4)

The columns will begin appearing after midnight on Sunday/Monday morning. Throughout the election process we have held firm on our policy of not running endorsement notices for candidates. We did so in an effort to show that we did not want any misunderstandings about the way we wanted to go about this…we did not want anyone to think that we ran endorsement articles on the promise of advertising being spent in return. Sadly, there is an appearance of impropriety elsewhere. While it cost us advertising dollars, we can get up knowing that we have not based our decision on any advertising spent with us.

Come Tuesday night, there will be those who will be described as winners and losers. But the truth is that we all win, and all the candidates win because it shows that there are still people willing to put their name in the hat for public office. It will show that there are still people willing vote. And hopefully it will bring others to get involved with the political process.
