EverythingNRV

A silent auction, a raffle for Virginia Tech memorabilia and lots more are planned this evening at the "Play for Patrick" fundraiser to be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Blacksburg High School. The fundraiser is being held to raise funds for Patrick Day, a Blacksburg High School student who was paralyzed earlier in the year from a stroke of the spinal cord.

The "Play For Patrick" event, presented by ServPro, MRH Surgical Associates, MOOG, Poor Billy's and Big Al's, will include a raffle for VT memorabilia, a silent auction for many Virginia Tech items, including a lunch pail signed by Coach Bud Foster, t-shirt sales and various activities throughout the evening.

There will also be a slam dunk contest including judges Marcus Travis and Deron Washington from the Virginia Tech basketball team, former BHS soccer athlete Dustin Bond and the legendary Sidney Snell.

Concessions will also be available.

Tickets are $5 at the door. One hundred percent of all proceeds from the event will benefit Patrick and his family.
