From Farmer’s Markets to craft fairs, there will be plenty of activities throughout the New River Valley in which you and your family can partake in today and Sunday.
Saturday The Radford’s Farmers Market will take place today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norwood Square public parking lot. Also going on this weekend in Radford is the annual Highlander Festival, which runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Radford University’s Moffett Quad. Featured musical entertainment will be Beggars’ Circus, The Celtibillies, Warpipe and the Virginia Highlands Pipes and Drum Band, are just a few of the day’s highlights. If you’re looking for Leaf Compost, today is the last day that the Town Of Blacksburg will offer the free leaf compost. You can pick it up at Va. Tech’s Tom’s Creek Basin site from 8 a.m. to noon. The Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festivals starts at 10 a.m. this morning. The farm is located on Route 8 in Riner. The Against All Odds Clubhouse Craft Fair takes place today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clubhouse located at 220 East Main Street in Radford. The Craftsman Arts and Craft Festival continues today starting at 10 a.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center. The Vinton Fall Festival takes place this weekend in Vinton starting at 8 a.m. this morning, also the Smith Mountain Lake Fall Festival starts at 9 a.m. Sunday In addition to attending the church of your choice, you can visit the Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, which continues today starting at 1 p.m. The Craftsman Arts and Craft Festival continues today starting at 11 a.m. at the Roanoke Civic Center. The Madison Marye /Meadowbrook Open Golf Tournament starts at 1 p.m. today at his Shawsville Farm.
