May 12th. The Planning Commission of the Town of Pulaski meets on the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Town Municipal Building at 42 First Street, N.W. The Commission reviews zoning requests from citizens and makes recommendations on these requests to the Town Council. Enjoy a posting of the colors by American Legion Post 182 as well as an afternoon of patriotic music with the Blacksburg Community Band and the Roanoke Valley Community Band. Veterans and military personnel get in free the day of the concert. Bring a chair or blanket or use a picnic table. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome at the concert. Town Economic Developer, John White (on behalf of the Raymond F. Ratcliffe Memorial Museum), is working on a volume in the “Images of America” series of Arcadia Publishing. The volume is scheduled to be released by Pulaski Fest on October 4, 2008. John is looking for old photographs of Pulaski Town/County for the volume to be entitled “Pulaski.” He will scan your images and return them to you immediately. “Pulaski” will be a wonderful tool to advertise the community.
