The Montgomery County Department of Social Services, 210 S. Pepper St., Christiansburg, is accepting applications for Fuel Assistance through Dec. 1st. Fuel Assistance is a supplemental program through Virginia’s Social Services to assist household individuals and families in meeting their home heating energy needs. |

Monday, November 24th. Public meetings are the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Montgomery County Government Center, 755 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg. Closed sessions begin at 6pm. Open sessions begin at 7:15pm. Citizens are invited to attend, and allowed to speak at each meeting. All regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors are videotaped live and rebroadcast on WTOB - Blacksburg cable channel 2, each Tuesday at 1:00pm, Thursday at 8:00pm and Saturday at 3:00pm. The Montgomery County/Radford City/Floyd County Branch of the NAACP will hold its next General Body Meeting on Sunday, November 23rd, at 3:30pm at the Christiansburg Community Center, 570 High Street.
