It was a blustery Blacksburg afternoon. As the wind whipped and the sun fought through clouds to occasionally peek through to the Virginia Tech campus.

After saying no the first time around, Blacksburg Town Council finally said yes to a Sonic drive-in, after unanimously approving an amended application for the restaurant Tuesday night.

 

 
Road Rage Leads To Blacksburg Accident Print E-mail

A road rage incident, which started on the nothern end of town and ended in the southern end of Blacksburg Monday night, led to a single-vehicle accident and two drivers being charged with reckless driving. Glenn W. Quesenberry, II., 25, of Christiansburg and Gary D. Jackson, 44, of Blacksburg were both charged with reckless driving, according to Sgt. Nathan O’Dell of the Blacksburg Police Department.

A Blacksburg High School student escaped serious injury after her vehicle struck a large pine tree and then coming to rest near a house on Patrick Henry Drive Monday afternoon.

 
Blacksburg Man Convicted Following Accident With Virginia State Trooper Print E-mail

A Blacksburg man, who was originally charged with reckless driving after his vehicle struck a Virginia State Police cruiser in Rockbridge County this past June, was recently convicted of an amended charge of improper driving.
