The 43rd annual Lord’s Acre Sale will take place this Saturday at the New River Valley Fairgrounds in Dublin and there will be plenty of items for sale.
 
Repairs To Begin on the I-81 Bridge Over Route 611 in Pulaski Print E-mail

Beginning today, Route 611 (Newbern Road) in Pulaski County will be closed to through traffic, so crews can repair the southbound Interstate 81 bridge over Route 611. Traffic will be detoured from Route 611 onto Route 643 (Cougar Trail) and F-047, a frontage road.   Route 611 is expected to remain closed in this area through mid-November.
 
Dublin Veterans Cemetery Closer to Reality Print E-mail

On Monday, U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher will visit Dublin for the formal transfer of the deed to 80 acres of land currently owned by the U.S. Army to the Commonwealth of Virginia for the purpose of constructing Southwest Virginia’s first veterans cemetery.
 
Va. Dept. of Education Awards Grant to Pulaski County Print E-mail

Pulaski County was just one of 38 localities to be awarded a year-one grant to fund 21st Century Community Learning Centers in communities across the commonwealth. The grants were awarded by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
