The City of Roanoke reminds citizens and Virginia Tech fans that this year's Pep Rally to kickoff the 2008 football season will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, in the Special Events Center of the Roanoke Civic Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. The formal program, sponsored by WDBJ 7, will start around 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
 
AHS Stadium to be Re-Named in Honor of Sink PDF Print E-mail

Auburn High School (AHS) will honor Henry Sink and his family, of Sinkland Farms, by officially naming the AHS football stadium the Henry Sink Memorial Stadium. On Friday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m., the Sink family will be honored with a ceremony that will officially name the stadium.
