Fallen Officers Honored At Fourth Annual Police Officers' Memorial Service PDF Print E-mail

A large crowd turned out on the front lawn of the Montgomery County Courthouse Friday afternoon, as the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department held the 4th Annual Police Officer’s Memorial Service to honor four police officers from the Christiansburg Police Department, Montgomery Regional Hospital and the sheriff’s office, who had lost their lives in the line of duty.

Montgomery County property owners may notice something different in their real estate tax notices this spring. All real estate owners, including those whose taxes are paid by a mortgage company, will be
receiving tax due notices. “Some of the tax notices mailed recently are copies – not bills -- for
property owners whose real estate taxes are paid by their mortgage company. Many homeowners
are refinancing their homes and we may not have their current mortgage company on record,”
said Treasurer W. Richard Shelton.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office To Host Police Memorial Ceremony Today PDF Print E-mail

At 4 p.m. this afternoon, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will host the 4th Annual Police Memorial Ceremony on the front lawn of the Montgomery County Courthouse in downtown Christiansburg.  Montgomery County Commonwealth Attorney Bradley Finch will be the featured speaker. In the event of rain, the cermonies will be moved to the Montgomery County Government Center at 755 Roanoke Street in Christiansburg.
