Description: The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley was created out of a need to augment the arts education offered in the school system and to the residents of the New River Valley. In its first twenty-five years of operation, the Fine Arts Center touched the lives of approximately 370,000 patrons by the way of visits to the gallery, classes, performances, and special events. The Center has hosted a combination of 3,500 classes or programs (visual and performing arts) involving 10,000 artists.

The Fine Arts Center is governed by a working board of professionals from the community and is operated by a full-time staff. The Center is supported by individual, family and corporate memberships, donations, memorials, the Town of Pulaski, Pulaski County, the C. E. Richardson Benevolent Foundation, The Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
