In 1974, it became a middle school. It has approximately 600 students in grades six through eight and 45 teachers.

Our Mission
Dublin Middle School is dedicated to providing a quality learning environment in which all students develop academic, technology and communication skills, respect for themselves and others, and social, emotional and physical wellness to become responsible citizens and life-long learners.

Belief Statements
We believe middle schools are an educational response to the needs and characteristics of youngsters during early adolescence and, as such, deal with a full range of intellectual and developmental needs. We believe the essential elements of quality middle schools are:

All students have worth and can learn.
Middle school students are in a critical developmental stage in which they have specific, individual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
Curriculum and instruction must be developmentally appropriate and include different teaching/learning styles and varying strategies to meet individual student needs.
Students should be provided opportunities to explore their talents and interests. through exposure to the fine arts, vocational, and technology programs.
A quality school climate encourages positive relationships based on communication, cooperation, and mutual respect.
A comprehensive guidance and counseling program is essential to addressing the unique needs of adolescents.
Assessment of student learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their achievement and a means of applying their learning to real life experiences.
Support, cooperation, and communication among parents, school, and community are crucial in the educational process.
Communication between home and school is essential to student success.
