Carilion Saint Albans Behavioral Health (CSABH)

The move from a stand alone psychiatric hospital to a comprehensive behavioral health wing at CNRV is complete.  And in that transition, Saint Albans' patients received the same high-quality, level of care that’s been trusted in this region for nearly 90 years.

Our new treatment facility offers exceptional adult treatment programs dealing with:

Alcohol and drug recovery (including buprenorphine program)

Depression (adult and geriatric programs)

Psychiatric disorders (including Risperdal CONSTA clinic)

Family counseling

CSABH is one of the few hospitals on the East Coast that offers buprenorphine treatment for opiate addiction. This five-week program helps the patient take control of life again.

To find out more about this program and others, a recovery group meets weekly to help addicts, families and friends deal with many of the issues surrounding addictive diseases.  The Saint Albans Recovery Support group, or STARS, meets every Tuesday at 6 pm in the Behavioral Health Wing at CNRV.

All services are confidential.

CSABH also offers a Risperdal CONSTA treatment clinic that is helping those with schizophrenia return to meaningful lives.

Insurance

Carilion Saint Albans Behavioral Health is committed to ensuring patients have access to our services through their insurance carriers.

We honor most major healthcare plans, including Medicare, Anthem, Cigna, Sentara, Megellan and many Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans. Based on the policy of the carrier, patients may be required to obtain a primary care physician referral and/or pre-certification from the health plan.

Through a variety of programs, we help individuals through the tough times so that they may have a more fulfilling life. CSABH offers inpatient, partial hospitalization and two levels of outpatient care to provide treatment options across the continuum of care.
