Bright Beginnings Daycare and Preschool

Bright Beginnings opened October 11th, 2004 and had our official ribbon cutting on October 26th. We feature a large fenced playground and are a proud member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. Originally built to house a private elementary school, the facility is licensed to care for 75 children at capacity.

Currently, we have a four classroom setting consisting of the Cuddlebugs room (6 weeks to 16 months), the Fireflies Room (16 months to 24 months), the Caterpillars Room (24 months to 36 months) and the Butterflies room (3 years to 5 years). Once children turn 5 years of age, they officially become a Schooler in our Before and After School program.

All of our classes participate in field trips throughout the year. Some of the more popular trips are: Mill Mountain Zoo, Pandapas Pond, Explore Park, The Science Museum of Western Virginia and Caboose Park. We always have room for our parents to come along with us on one of our many adventures!

All of our rooms are equipped with a telephone and a site-wide intercom. Also, every classroom contains at least one web cam. What does that mean? Through a secure area on our website, parents or guardians can actually see their child grow and learn throughout the day.

For added security, the main entrance to Bright Beginnings is electromagnetically locked from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. All visitors must ring a bell, announce themselves and wait for the door to be unlocked.

Bright Beginnings has an open door policy. Families or custodial parents are encouraged to visit and participate in daily activities as much as possible. Parents are always welcome on field trips, and we love having families join us for lunch!
