Description:

Pre-K thru 5th Grade. Christiansburg Elementary School is committed to the four priorities of The Basic School:  The School As Community, A Climate For Learning, A Commitment to Character, and A Curriculum with Coherence.  CES prepares students to become productive, responsible citizens in an ever-changing world.  A cooperative effort of the home, school, and community is necessary to provide an atmosphere conducive to the maximum intellectual, physical, emotional, and social development of our students.

We believe that the curriculum should challenge our students to develop the skills necessary to succeed in the ongoing educational process.  As educators, we acknowledge the multiple learning styles and interests of our students, and we recognize that each child will achieve success in accordance with his/her intellectual, physical, and emotional potential.  We must remain flexible in our teaching strategies in order to meet individual needs while maintaining certain basic ideals for a healthy lifestyle.
