Description:

Adult Day Services offers a friendly and stimulating environment for adults unable to be alone during the day. Participants enjoy the company and support of other adults. Adult Day Services provides the opportunity to maintain the highest level of functioning possible by promoting physical and mental health. Adult Day Services also gives caregivers the opportunity for time off while knowing their family member is in a safe and comfortable environment.

Activities and programs that give people the opportunity to develop confidence, self-esteem, self-expression, and to build on and maintain current skills in the following ways:

Health: Individualized plan of care, health monitoring, supervised medication administration, glucose and blood pressure checks, and coordinate services with other health agencies, supervised by a registered nurse.

Social: Morning coffee and chat, sharing life stories and interests.

Cultural: Performances, speakers, films, writing and reading poetry and stories.

Educational: Crossword puzzles, reading, story rounds, word games and reminiscing.

Intergenerational: Crafts, story telling to children, music and baking.

Therapeutic: Exercise, walks, music therapy, friendship, and social support.

Leisure: Outings, gardening, sports, puzzles, woodwork, sewing and personal care.
