The Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad is a 100% volunteer EMS organization which provides pre-hospital emergency care to sick or injured citizens of the Town of Blacksburg and surrounding Montgomery County. BVRS has depended on donations from citizens like you since 1950 to help fund and maintain our services free of charge. 

Our members respond daily to all 911 emergency medical and rescue calls. We provide cutting edge rescue and advanced life support while ensuring rapid transport to the hospital free of charge. We recieve constant training on all modern medical and advanced technical rescue techniques. Our vehicles are packed with advanced equipment to ensure the best possible care.
